Tap & Barrel has opened an expansive new location in Burnaby’s the Amazing Brentwood, with highlights including a rooftop patio and second-floor dining room.

The three-level establishment, at Brentwood Plaza, offers an unobstructed view of the Burnaby skyline. The first floor features a lounge and central bar with big-screen TVs perfect for taking in the Vancouver Canucks’ (hopefully deep) playoff run. The dining room is on the second floor, with the rooftop patio featuring a retractable roof, making it a destination not only in the summer but also fall and the holiday season.

As with its other Greater Vancouver locations, Brentwood’s Tap & Barrel places an emphasis on showcasing the best in local on-tap beers and ciders. Also spotlighted are top international brands, as well as an extensive wine list and handcrafted cocktail menu.

On the dining side of things, expect a mix of comfort classic and forward-thinking cuisine, with fresh and local always a focal point.

Tap & Barrel is open for lunches and dinners seven days a week, with special happy hour offerings, as well as for brunch on weekends and holidays.

“We believe that every detail of a restaurant contributes to the overall experience, and it is our mission to provide welcoming spaces that inspire dialogue and connection,” Tap & Barrel cofounder and CEO Daniel Frankel says in a statement, “spaces where the community can come together to create meaningful and memorable dining experiences.”

Tap & Barrel opened its first location in Olympic Village in 2012. It has since grown to six locations, with a seventh planned for Langley later this year.
