Some of the city’s best ‘za is coming to Mount Pleasant.

Via Tevere has announced that it will open in the space formerly occupied by its vegan little sister Grano (itself formerly occupied by Don’t Argue!—which has reopened inside Commercial Drive’s Caffe Soccavo. Keeping up?).

Mount Pleasant pie-lovers won’t need to wait too long, either, as Via Tevere is due to open in the space at 3240 Main sometime in late May—and it promises to serve up some of the tasty plant-based options that made Grano such a go-to for vegetarians and carnivores alike.

“After an incredible three-and-a-half-year run in the space, we were presented with a unique opportunity to launch a new concept that marries the iconic Via Tevere menu and restaurant experience with select plant-based offerings from our Grano take out program,” says cofounder Dom Morra in a statement. “With this new Via Tevere location on Main Street, we hope to offer the best of both these beloved pizza brands.”

Dom and his brother Frank Morra opened the original Via Tevere on Victoria Drive in 2012. They opened Grano in 2021, and shuttered its dine-in program in March 2024 (though it still offered takeout). The siblings are also responsible for the recent resurrection of Don’t Argue!, making them essentially our patron saints of pizza.

Via Tevere Main Street will have 32 indoor seats, plus 24 outdoor seats. Once it opens, it will operate from Tuesdays to Sundays, 4pm until late.
