In this supernatural love story, Cantopop idol Anita Mui is the heartbroken ghost who returns to Hong Kong 50 years after committing suicide to find out why her lover (Leslie Cheung) has yet to join her in the afterlife. Rouge is a funny, sad story beautifully told.
