Milestones is upping its game with renos and a new menu.

Founded in 1989 on Denman Street, Milestones now has more than 50 locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Newfoundland.

The company, which takes credit for the Bellini and joined Cara in 2002, recently launched its prototype design at its West Vancouver location with a VIP preview dinner that included members of the Squamish First Nation and community groups.

Officially opening today (June 20), the renovated 6,400-square-foot restaurant at Park Royal has an expanded indoor/outdoor bar, an all-season patio, and contemporary interior design featuring dark wood, black accents, and striking First Nations art.

Its Grand Reopening Party on the evening of July 21 at 6:30pm will be in support of Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue.

Milestones culinary director Jeff Dell was on hand at the preview to introduce seven of the menu’s 30 new dishes.

      They were:

      - Prime Rib Slider with hand carved prime rib, crisp buttermilk onion strings, herb jus, and horseradish mayo.

      - Beet Salad, a superfood salad with roasted red and golden beets, wild baby arugula, kale, quinoa, and blueberries topped with goat-cheese-and-fig-balsamic dressing-

      - Coconut-marinated calamari strips with Indian in-spired mango chili dipping sauce

      - Roasted Field Mushroom Gemelli, which consists of fresh herb-roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, roasted tomato, and wild baby arugula in a truffle-Parmesan cream.

      - Wild Norwegian miso-glazed cod served with jasmine rice, coconut-lemon broth, spinach, kale, and onions

      - Seasoned and grilled petite filet of steak with crab and shrimp in a lobster butter and served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes.

      - Drunken Donuts: warm mini ricotta donuts tossed in icing sugar and served with Limoncello lemon curd, rum-salted caramel, and coffee-liqueur-spiked hazelnut-chocolate dipping sauces.

Classics like hot spinach-and-artichoke dip and slow-roasted prime rib remain on the new menu.

Milestones has also launched a VIP program that rewards loyal diners with special offers.
