Fresh Prep collaborates with Vij’s on limited-time meal kit menu

Fresh Prep—a pioneering sustainable meal kit delivery service based in Vancouver—has announced another collaboration with a local restaurant. This time, it’s famed Vancouver Indian restaurant Vij’s.

Helmed by celebrity chef Vikram Vij and co-owner Meeru Dhalwala, Vij’s has been a staple for high-end Indian food in Vancouver since 1994. The enterprising duo have opened two restaurants together—Vij’s and Rangoli—along with offering up pre-cooked, frozen trays of their signature curries.

Now, Vancouverites and beyond can enjoy a taste of Vij’s menu in their own home—and by their own hand—thanks to their collaboration with Fresh Prep.

The meal prep collab introduces two recipes to your own kitchen: Vij's chickpea, potato, and coconut curry with spiced peas; and Vij's masala chicken curry with spiced cauliflower.

Ingredients for the meal prep kit are sourced and pre-portioned, ensuring no food waste, and saving time at the grocery store. Think of it like a private cooking class with Vij and Dhalwala themselves. Each kit comes with two servings for $31.90.

Of course, this is not the first time that Fresh Prep has teamed up with local restaurateurs. Previous limited-run collaborators are Vancouver’s Cafe Medina, Nuba, and Anh & Chi.

You’ll want to get signed up with Fresh Prep soon, though, if you want to get in on this legendary (and delicious) collaboration: it’ll only be available for the next six weeks.
