Gastown’s hosting free music pop-ups on Thursdays this summer

    1 of 1 2 of 1

From now until September 5, the cobblestone streets of Gastown will be filled with music every Thursday. Across four locations, including the new Blood Alley Square, passersby can immerse themselves in a diverse range of music genres.

The music takes place from 4:30pm until 7:30pm every Thursday. Some notable dates include August 1, which sees the kickoff of Vancouver Pride at Guilt & Co.; while August 15 showcases many Gastown businesses with the Meet Me In Gastown Takeover.

Another enticing reason to spend more time in the neighbourhood this summer is the Gastown Business Improvement Society’s efforts to make visiting Gastown easier than ever. Select participating businesses will provide free single-use one-zone transit passes, and two additional Mobi bike stations will be installed. Plus, the popular free parking initiative is back, offering three hours of complimentary parking once per week at EasyPark Lot 126. On top of that, Water Street’s car-free pilot will see additional pedestrian-friendly zones.
