This Sunday (July 8), at 9 pm, Reel Causes presents a free, open-air screening of The Adventures of Tintin at Stanley Park’s Ceperley Meadows.

The 2011 animated film follows the story of an intrepid reporter who sets off on a hunt for sunken treasure with the help of his dog Snowy and the seaman Captain Haddock. The action-packed adventure flick takes inspiration from Hergé’s entire comic-book series, although the plot itself is based on The Crab With the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn, and Red Rackham’s Treasure.

Admission is free. While the film will be in French, English subtitles will be shown at the bottom of the screen. More details can be found on the Reel Causes website.

Love a writer that doesn't proof read

I've read two articles with your name on them, not too impressed. Well, I guess they aren't really articles, more notes. Having a hard time figuring out why you were hired by the Straight. At least its comforting to know that anyone can get a job writing, just complain a lot and not follow-up or check facts. Oh, by the way...this Sunday (August 8).....has changed. I know, I know - crazy huh, but "the parties that be ("they"); have decided to use the real dates for this Sunday. That being July 8th.
