It seems that every 30 years of so, the youth of today rise up in artistic revolution. I was a kid in the 90's, my mom in the 60's, my grandma in the 30's. Well, it's the 20's and we're right on track. The youth of recent went through something none of us olds will know what it's like. Isolation in ones formative years will create pain for some, but it will also bring some sort of youthful artist revolution. I am excited to see what they do. When I was a young peep, NWA and Nirvana were opposites, and equally revolutionary. The early days of internet made art go global and the implosion was a beautiful spectacle of a generation. I am excited to see where this generation goes and what they dance to.

Hahaha it’s hilarious that someone who was a child in the 90’s is talking like they’re an old person now. You’re a child still compared to those of us who are seniors and can legitimately say that we’re old. As for the rest of your post, yes, it’s true that things do tend to be cyclical. I hope that the young people choose to make positive changes for the world, because from my perspective the changes I’m witnessing are anything but.

Millennials brought math rock back, that was pretty cool, but I've been waiting to have my mind blown by Gen Z. Music I've never heard before or in the very least, a new crop of post-hardcore punk bands, and a new sub-genre of techno. Waaaaaiting...

You may find most interesting a video on YouTube about "the 4 turnings". It describes an 80 year cycle that repeats throughout history. We are at the beginning of the worst of the 4 twenty-year cycles and it's gonna be very rough. Those of us who know nothing more than how to swipe a screen are going to be utterly miserable. Those of us who developed a diversity of skills will be okay. Do you know how to get fresh water from a desert? I do.

The internet was a much more safer and simpler place in its early days long before the dawn of social media. Nowadays, things have become very complicated with so many people attacking each other on social media, behind a keyboard 24 seven just to prove a point. It’s beyond ridiculous. I mean, how do you know someone who someone really is behind a computer screen? Social media could be a positive thing if only people would just stop misusing it.

Kids are being born today with psychic abilities. I've observed it. They don't need cellphones, they have telepathy.
As a boomer who lived for pleasure I've always admired GenX'ers. I see them as better versions of us, less self absorbed. More humble. Pity they were born out of time. GenXers we who are about to die salute thee!!!
