You know summer is over when restaurants start promoting holiday parties

Tis the season...

First it was Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Now it’s a callout for people to book (safe) festive-season gatherings. Like it or not, the holidays will be here before we know it.

Proving it’s as organized as Martha Stewart, the team behind Viaggio Hospitality Group has sent out an email with the subject line Tis the Season. It’s offering discounts on food for holiday bookings of groups of 10 or more made by September 30 at a number of its restaurants.

These include Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio False Creek, Cibo Trattoria, Uva Wine & Cocktail Bar, Papi’s Seafood and Oyster Bar, Red Card Sports Bar & Eatery, and the Met Bar & Grill. (Ancora Ambleside is temporarily closed.)

Book in time and you’ll get 15 percent off events that take place between November 1 to 16, 2020 or 20 percent off parties in October 2020 or January 2021. An 18-percent gratuity will be applied to the total bill before the discount.

The group notes that the safety of its guests and staff members is its number one priority. Accordingly, it will adjust as needed in response to any changes to public-health regulations due to COVID-19 and promises a full refund if any restaurant closures are ordered.
