You Nearly Missed: Science World turns into a cocktail bar for Science of Cocktails

They don’t call it mixology for nothing.

This Thursday (April 11), Science World is set to turn into one giant cocktail lab at its seventh-annual fundraiser, Science of Cocktails.

The annual mixer—pun very much intended—will show off 30 cocktail stations helmed by the city’s award-winning bartenders, who will showcase their creative (and scientific) ingenuity in the form of mixed drinks. That’s in addition to paired hors d’oeuvres, hands-on activities, and live entertainment.

The event will benefit Science World’s bursary program, which gives free access to Science World to underserved schools.

"While this event is one of the most anticipated evenings in Vancouver, more importantly, Science of Cocktails plays a pivotal role in supporting students, teachers, and families across British Columbia by providing free access to Science World,” says Nancy Roper, VP of development and government relations at Science World, in a release.

The adults-only fete gives attendees access to an open bar, cocktail-based science activities, food, and entertainment. VIP tickets unlock access to early attendance, a VIP lounge, and extra-premium cocktails.

Getting tipsy on a Thursday? It’s for the children!
