It’s official: Vancouver is hosting seven FIFA World Cup 2026 soccer games.

The World Cup will begin in Mexico City on June 11, while Canada’s first match will be on June 12 at BMO Field in Toronto.

Five group stage matches (including two of Team Canada’s) will be played at BC Place. The first one is June 13. Vancouver will also host two of the knockout matches: one in the round of 32 on July 2, and one in the round of 16 on July 7.

“We are thrilled to welcome these FIFA matches to British Columbia,” says Lana Popham, BC’s Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport. “Hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2026 is a great opportunity to support local businesses, create jobs, and have long-lasting benefits for our tourism sector and overall economy. Get ready for the excitement as we put a global spotlight on BC as a prime destination like no other.”

Down south, Seattle is set to host six games, including two knockout matches.

Miami will host the 2026 semifinal on July 18, while the New York New Jersey Stadium will host the final on July 19.
