Mark Your Calendar: Brewery & the Beast is back for another meaty year

You don’t have to wait to be invited to this cookout! Brewery & the Beast, an outdoor barbecue series, is coming back to Vancouver on June 2.

The event—which sells out every year—features mouth-watering meats from some of the city’s best chefs and restaurants. Braised, smoked, grilled: no matter how you like your meat, you’ll find it here (along with beer, wine, cider, mocktails, and more).

“Brewery & the Beast is a full-on celebration of local food and drink; of ethical, sustainable and natural farming practices; and talented chefs and exceptional restaurants,” says Jason Pleym of Two Rivers Meats, who sponsors the event, in a release. “It’s right up our alley.”

The event has upped the ante this year but selling fewer tickets, which means a less crowded space and shorter lines. There will also be more shaded areas, an increase in non-alcoholic drink options, and a return to the all-you-can-eat-and-drink model of the early years.

“We’re so honoured and grateful that Brewery & the Beast has received so much love,” says Scott Gurney, director of the 17 Black Events team that produces the festival, in a release. “This year, we’re focused on making the event better than ever, while maintaining 2022 pricing for our BC events, to really recognize the loyalty people have shown us.”

Tickets go on sale March 1.
