An investigation into drug-trafficking in Metro Vancouver that began last year has culminated in the seizure of drugs and a firearm in Delta.

Surrey RCMP stated in a news release issued today (January 14) that in September 2019, police launched an investigation into drug trafficking that continued for several months.

On January 7, officers used a search warrant at a residence in the 11900 block of 80th Avenue in Delta.

At the location, they seized items including approximately 800 grams of suspected heroin, 100 grams of suspected cocaine, six grams of suspected fentanyl, $15,000 in cash, and a .22 cal handgun with ammunition.

Police also arrested a 24-year-old male from Delta, who was later released.

      The investigation remains ongoing.
