Will I ever get over her?

I had the most amazing dream last night. My ex came back and it was glorious. All was forgiven, the mad downward spiral that led to our breakup was all a bad dream and we were back to being the most amazing coupling since Chris Pratt and Anna Faris. Then my alarm went off and it all slipped away as I desperately clung to her fading vision. I've been on the edge of breaking down in to tears since. She is the only one that made me understand Aerosmith songs and why Romeo and Juliet resonates for so many people. The breakup occurred a year and half ago, I should be over this.

It took me over 10 years to TrUlY get over a 3 year relationship.
I had thought of this guy as being the love of my life, but now I realize he was just a weak-minded guy with shallow/superficial conformist values.
It took 13 years before I finally met a guy who is such a rare, beautiful person, that he totally knocked the used-to-be "love of my life" ex off of that pedestal.

dream about my ex on a regular basis, 8 years later. It's sort of fun. Except for waking up. That's not fun.
