Favourite part of summer in Vancouver
Everything. Nothing beats Vancouver in the summer. I personally like to swim in various rivers around the city; unfortunately, I can’t blow up the spots.

DD Mau for the chicken wings and the Roasted Pork Banh Mi.
Best watering hole
Fortune Sound Club in Chinatown—you can’t test the sound!
Summer event you’re looking forward to the most
Dancehall legend Sister Nancy is performing in Vancouver for the first time ever at Fortune Sound on June 14 for our 15-year anniversary. It’s going to be an epic show.
Best outdoor concert venue
I’m excited to see Neil Young at Deer Lake Park.
Favourite hike
Semaphore Lakes out in Pemberton, followed by a fresh pint and a smash burger at The Beer Farmers.
Favourite patio
Orto Artisan Pasta in North Van is the best at 5pm for dinner for the fresh pasta surrounded by their vegetable garden. Bring some shades.

Lychee mojito.
Go-to summer potluck dish
Grilled Halloumi Garlic Pita Pockets with pickled cucumber, tomatoes, pea shoots, and grilled, marinated mushrooms and onions.

Secret Beach in Deep Cove.

Hastings Street.

Fortune Sound’s Special Projects Space!
Weekend getaway spot
Anywhere on the Sunshine Coast.
Best camping spot
The best campings spots are the ones that are not so accessible. Off of Squamish logging roads, around Harrison Lake, etc.
Favourite park to linger in
Cates Park in Deep Cove.
Best place for watching the sunset
Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. The sun sets in the west.
Favourite cold treat
Floats at End Of The Line General Store in Lynn Valley. Such a cute little spot.
Favourite summer accessory
An ice-cold Cinco.
