Cedar, Sage & Sweetgrass brings Indigenous culture to the Museum of Surrey

A celebration of Indigenous art and culture is being featured by the Museum of Surrey next month.

Cedar, Sage & Sweetgrass, a free two-day event, highlights the cultural history of Indigenous people, with music, dance shows, and food—including the beloved Tradish food truck. There will also be the opportunity to meet different artists, such as Pat Calihou, Ronald George Straight (great name, if we do say so ourselves), and John Spence.

“We are honoured to host this celebration,” says Lynn Saffery, museum manager, in a statement. “This experience is for all ages and is one that showcases an incredible group of Indigenous artists from across Western Canada.”
